Welcome to San Diego Poodle Rescue!
About us - San Diego Poodle Rescue is a division of the San Diego Poodle Club. We are a non-profit group dedicated to helping poodles in need. We are completely run by volunteers. Our Dogs - Our poodles come from a variety of sources such as owner relinquishments and from various animal shelters. We take pure-bred poodles, poodle-mixes and occasional "honorary" poodles. Prior to adoption, our dogs are up to date on core vaccines, spayed or neutered, microchipped and groomed. How to Find Us - The best way to contact us is by email! We do not have a shelter facility - all of our dogs are housed in private foster homes. If you are interested in one of the dogs listed on our website or are inquiring about relinquishing a poodle, please contact us at jlgreeno@att.net. We will return your email as soon as possible. Adoption Process - An adoption application is the first step - to get an application, email jlgreeno@att.net. Please give us as much information as you can on the application and be totally honest as this will help us in a mutually beneficial placement. Once the application is approved, a home visit will be done by a San Diego Poodle Rescue volunteer. We will check the environment and safety of the home. We must meet all members of the family, including present pets. Once the home visit is approved, you may meet dogs you are interested in. Adoption fees vary depending on age, health issues and size of dog. Standard Poodles - We do not get standard poodles into rescue very often. However, we do keep a list of people interested in adopting a standard so that when one becomes available, either through our rescue or another that we are aware of, we can email you. Please email us at jlgreeno@att.net that you are looking for a standard poodle, your preference (if any) as to sex, color and age. Also, tell us about your home and whether you have children, dogs, cats or other animals. WE WILL NOT SHIP OUR DOGS AND THEY CANNOT BE ADOPTED OUT OF THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AREA!!!
